‚Soccer field‘ competition for architects, 1996
This project offers architects and other institutions involved in the building industry the chance to compete with each other on a huge curved platform on columns. The middle is void. Two architectural strategies (Cartesian and organic) are opposed to each other in order to exemplify the idea of competition. Architectural objects in our collective space are mostly received in a mode of distraction. Most things in space occur incidentally, disjunctively, and are largely unconsciously perceived. Space made transparent again.
